What we’re eating: June 15-21

How is it already Friday?! I feel like it was just Monday! Nevertheless, cheers to the weekend! I hope you are enjoying the what we’re eating series! Most of the meals I make are super quick and require minimal ingredients.

My parents are coming into town Saturday and we will be having dinner with them at our home. TEB will grill our fav chicken ever–honey mustard chicken! (If you’re subscribed to my newsletter, you got the recipe in your inbox today, if not put your email in the pop up!)

What we’re eating: June 1-7

What' we're eating January 11-17

Ok, the much requested dinner menu is here! Each week I will (read: try to) publish what we’re eating for dinner in hopes it will help you decide on what to get at the grocery, or inspire you to make a healthier choice!

I’m certainly no chef, but knowing that I can prepare a healthy meal that will nourish our bodies is priceless. You can learn just about anything these days. If you don’t know how to cook, just try.

nut + seed milk

This one has been a long time coming. My milk recipes have been perfected and I must share the goods with you!

Let’s be clear on one thing, I had stipulations when I decided to do this back in 2018. First, it needed to be made with nuts or seeds that did not require straining, no time for that. Second, it needed to be easy, and third, taste good!

Making milk at home is very inexpensive, easy, and taste so much better than store bought. Even the organic, non-gmo options  at the grocery still have gums and fillers. Two things, I’m certain aren’t needed in my life.

Easy Granola Bars

TEB loves a good bar. While, bars aren’t my personal preference, it’s important that the bars he does consume be full of nutrients+clean ingredients+real food. These fit the bill, and no, I don’t always make homemade bars.

These are SUPER easy, and you probably already have some or all of the ingredients on the list. Plus you can switch ingredients around! If you don’t like raisins, maybe add some unsweetened cherries instead.

Collagen was perfect to add for some extra protein. OX Nutrition blends better than any collagen I have EVER used, plus they source sustainably and that is important to me.

Smoothie Obsessed

One of my favorite daily rituals: my breakfast smoothie.

It always has tons of dark leafy greens (spinach or kale). Did you know that dark leafy greens like spinach and kale are the most nutrient dense+energizing+detoxifying foods you can eat?! I try to fit in extra veggies everywhere!

Glowing Skin is always in

This may seem pretty basic stuff, but all of it combined together is what does the trick for me! I have always taken really good care of my skin, and will continue to. You can find me always wearing hat+sunscreen+sunglasses. I think taking care of your skin should come pretty natural, but some people just don’t get in the habit of taking care of themselves, it’s never too late to start!
This is what I do to keep my skin glowing:
