Favs: Nov + Dec 2019

READING

In November I read The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone, it came highly recommended by TEB. I did indeed like it!

Takeaway:

In order to get to the next level of whatever you’re doing, you must think and act in a wildly different way that you previously have been. You cannot get to the next phase of a project without a grander mind-set, more acceleration, and extra horsepower. Your thoughts and actions are the reasons you are where you are right now.

The goals you set should always move you to a better place-or toward and objective you’ve not yet achieved.

In December I read Atomic Habits by James Clear. Wow. I’d say this will be going on my fav book list for sure!

Takeaway:

You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems. A goal is your desired outcome. Your system is the collection of DAILY habits that will get your there. ⠀

LISTENING

Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast and The Ed Mylett Show Podcast are both two that I listen two regularly. They both provide actionable info that is so valuable.

Simplify Your Life and Leadership: Cut the Slack, Part 2: Puts your day to day activities and to-do’s into perspective!

Health is Wealth-with Dr. Ian Smith: this episode talks all about Intermittent Fasting. I’ve intermittent fast for YEARS and I can say that it’s truly improved my gut and overall health. It is important to know that it is not right for everyone. This episode goes into depth about it!

STYLE

Not really sure if this even counts for style, I’ll put it here anyway! I picked up this backpack from Lululemon. I travel quite a bit and needed something that would securely hold my laptop in it’s own area and other stuff! This fits the bill and is so super cute too!

I have a bag that is from Away that matches all of my luggage that I’ve decided after really trying to make it work it is not functional for me. I don’t like having something on one shoulder/arm and it’s just awkward to me. It’s linked hereif you do like something like that! A backpack is best for me, I like to be hands free.

Bonus: the lululemon backpack is on sale!

BEAUTY

This set is a game changer in the winter time! The lemongrass sugar scrub sloths away dry skin and the body butter restores moisture and hydrates your skin! It smells heavenly too!

KITCHEN

Ok…you’ve heard me raving and ranting about Wal-Mart delivery for about three months now. OH HEYYYY here I am again! For real, the easiest way to save time and maybe some money too! We are all about maximizing our time and delegating to do what we do best over here! Not that I am not good at grocery shopping, its a lot more productive for me to be working 1-1 with my clients or doing discovery calls!

If you want to maximize too, HERE is a code to save $10 off your first Wal-Mart delivery OR pickup if that floats your boat!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention one of the best parts, well a couple! First, Wal-Mart doesn’t have a surcharge on top of the price of the food where as other delivery services do! Second, its $98 for the entire year which comes out to $1.88 per delivery if you were to order 52 weeks out of the year! Lastly, they have a huge organic selection! We do shop at costco 1x a month and order on Thrive Market some, Wal-Mart has been able to meet our everyday needs!
