Smoothie Obsessed

One of my favorite daily rituals: my breakfast smoothie.

It always has tons of dark leafy greens (spinach or kale). Did you know that dark leafy greens like spinach and kale are the most nutrient dense+energizing+detoxifying foods you can eat?! I try to fit in extra veggies everywhere!

Having them in smoothie form pre-broken down helps with digestion+absorption. Plus you get a big daily does of greens+nutrients. #skinfood

There isn’t a science to building a smoothie with the perfect amounts of everything, but the things that are always necessary since this is a meal for me: lots of greens, fat, carbs, protein. Not too much of anything.

Currently obsessed with this Cherry-Berry Smoothie and can’t stop with it:

  • 3 pieces of TJ’s frozen coconut chunks

  • 2 tbs raw cacao powder
  •  1 scoop Truvani Vanilla protein powder

Instructions

  1. Put all the things in a blender
  2. Blend on high until smooth

I prefer this cacao powder, its the BEST one. Trust me, I’ve tried them all. I buy it in bulk because we use a lot of it in my house! #chocoholic

This maca powder is amazing. Its a gelatinized version and has been removed of its starch, making it more digestible and bioavailable.  Maca powder is my FAVORITE adaptogen. It’s good at helping the body adapt to stress, increasing energy+stamina, aids in hormonal balance and improves mood! It has a mild nutty flavor, but honestly I never taste it in any of my smoothies
