Favs: September 2018

Each month you can expect a list of things that I am currently loving. Hopefully by sharing these things will help you find something new to listen to or read, and maybe even a new recipe! Speaking of recipes, did you see my fav brussel sprout dish?!

READING

Dale Carnegie: How to Win Friends and Influence People.

Highly recommend if you are into personal development. Even if you don’t need to “win friends and influence people” this book teaches+reiterates basic human relations, something we all need to remember.

LISTENING

The Life Coach School Podcast

I go back and re-listen to some of the episodes. It’s that good. I try to listen to a couple of podcasts per week, you should try it too! Especially while doing mindless tasks. (more personal development)

Episode 213: Goal Shaming

Episode 231: Who are you becoming

Episode 230: Lessons learned from Jim Collins

Episode 222: Discomfort on purpose

FOLLOWING

Lindsay Dahl, VP of Social+Environmental Responsibility at Beautycounter. She works the forefront of environmental health campaigns, working to eliminate toxic chemicals in consumer products throughout policy and market shifts. She provides awesome insights on lots of areas of health+wellness. Basically, she is an all around bad ass.

STYLE

ABLE denim I have shared my love of this brand countless times. Everything I have is made very well. They have beautiful leather bags (on my wish list), jewelry, denim, apparel, and shoes. But, besides the quality pieces, I love what they are about. They are focused on working with women who have often overcame extraordinary circumstances such as addiction to homelessness to prostitution. They manufacture directly in the communities they wish to impact both locally and globally, creating jobs and ending the cycle of charity dependence. SKINCARE

Still obsessing over the Resurfacing Peel. I literally wake up with glowy skin. It is made with fruit acids, and it’s like a facial in a bottle. In fact, my esthetician approves!  3-4x a week at night.

KITCHEN

Loving these spice jars from my friend Alex with Tabulated Organizing. She donates part of the profit from some of her sales of the pantry labels! I love a good #purposefulpurchase. I special ordered these, but she has some basic sets already made up ready to order, or you can do a custom order like me to get exactly what you need. She ships!
